"0" km Stone  

The “0” km Stone statue is situated on the Clark Adam square. In Hungary the road distances are measured from this point. In 1975, Miklós Borsos created this 3 m high limestone statue. The Budavár Funicular Lift can also be found on this place, but we can have a magnificent view on the Chain Bridge and the Angel emblem is also situated on the wall of the castle.

Count Lajos Batthyány, the president of the first responsible Hungarian government, was sentenced to death by the Austrians, and to commemorate this event, on the place of the execution an eternal night-light was set up in 1926.
