Matteo Bauhaus Restaurant

The Restaurant Matteo furnished in bauhaus style is situated in the elegant residential area of Budapest, in Pasarét. The café and the restaurant Matteo planned by Mihály Csikós interior decorator join perfectly the ancient monuments of the square Pasarét, the Church Franciscan and the terminus of the bus number 5. The special atmosphere of the restaurant Matteo of 50 persons which is equipped with air-conditioner is completed well by the spectacular, parked garden. The comfortable, shady terrace create a pleasant atmosphere to the guests and change the nights into individual by magic with the park lit by different lights and torches. Both the quiet, classical jazz and the choice of the dishes and the furniture imitate the Bauhaus-styled Budapest of the thirties.
The proprietor of the restaurant Matteo, László Pataki and the chef, Péter Buday emphasize in the creation of the menu and of the drink list on that they could offer appropriate program and choice to everybody. Their slogan is: “Every dinner or any other meal have to be a special event at our restaurant!” So it is understandable why the chef offers the actual specialities of the restaurant at the table of the guests.
The Picard café which is situated at the corner of the terminus of the bus belongs to the restaurant. Sitting on the terrace of the café you can admire the whirl drift of the square Pasarét while you stir an exellent Danesi espresso café. For a conversation, for a fast meal you can choose from the menu of the café or choice of the special Tapas. Besides this, you can have your everyday lunch here from the cheap, daily offer.
